The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded on May 31, with the Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) successfully defending their title against the Gujarat Titans. The tournament witnessed several young talents rising to the occasion, making a name for themselves in the cricketing world.

The top order will feature Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who will open the innings with Priyansh Arya. Sooryavanshi had a phenomenal season, scoring 776 runs and becoming the youngest player in the league’s history to win the Orange Cap. Arya, on the other hand, had an explosive season for Punjab Kings, scoring 364 runs in 13 innings.

Ayush Mhatre will lead the side and bat at No.3. The CSK star had a brilliant season, but unfortunately, his stint was cut short due to an injury. Mhatre scored 201 runs in six innings, averaging 33.50.

Middle-Order

In the middle-order, Angkrish Raghuvanshi will be featured, as he was KKR’s leading run-getter in IPL 2026, scoring 422 runs in 12 innings, averaging 42.20. Raghuvanshi was eventually ruled out of IPL due to a finger injury. Other notable players in the middle-order include Sameer Rizvi and Kartik Sharma.

Rizvi, in nine innings, scored 252 runs, averaging 36.00, while Sharma scored 295 runs in 11 innings, averaging 32.78, with a strike-rate of 136.57. The youngster scored two fifties in IPL 2026.

Bowlers

The bowling department will feature Praful Hinge, Rasikh Salam, Kartik Tyagi, and Prince Yadav. Hinge picked up 14 wickets in 7 innings for SRH, while Yadav was the find of the season among the bowlers, taking 16 wickets in 14 innings and earning an India call-up for his performance.
